There couldn't be a better setting for a cricket match. Tucked among the green spaces of Arboretum Road, yet in the heart of New Town, it’s easy to imagine a long summer afternoon spent here, punctuated only by the thunk of ball on bat. And for pre-game warm ups or training, we also have cricket nets and artificial wickets.

We welcome cricket clubs to our grounds and to an enviable setting amongst the green spaces of Arboretum Road. Train here regularly all season then round off with matches against visiting clubs. Your team and your visitors can make use of the pavilion for changing and as a chill-out space between overs. Also ideal for larger tournaments.

Great for bringing together family and friends for a day of games and catching up. Our grounds have been used for returning grudge matches for some years, especially amongst alumni of the Academy. Book ahead and make it a regular day in your summer calendar (and as friendly or competitive as you like!)

Nets
We have four cricket nets on site available to rent out - a rare opportunity in Scotland! Working in a similar way to golf ranges, they are the perfect space to practice throwing and catching and work equally well for team practice in between matches, as a warm up area and as a place to develop cricket skills with your children if you have a spare hour at weekends.
